Breastfeeding: Getting Started with Confidence - Milwaukee & Ozaukee

This class is designed to build your confidence and skills for breastfeeding your newborn.

Topics include:

  • How to prepare for breastfeeding
  • Positioning your newborn
  • Proper Latch
  • When to feed your baby
  • How to feel confident your newborn is getting enough breast milk
  • How your family can support your decision to breastfeed
  • Pumping and milk storage
  • How to resolve common challenges

* We recommend that you attend this class during the seventh or eighth month of your pregnancy, so you can best retain what you learn. We are proud to offer this program for every parent that is interested, regardless of the ability to pay. Registration is required. Due to limited class sizes, please look at our other Ascension hospitals for more options.
