Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown Birthing Your Baby

This class series is taught by a registered nurse with work experience at the bedside of labor and delivery. The topics covered in this series: pregnancy warning signs, labor stages/phases, hospital medical interventions, medications (including epidural), cesarean delivery and postpartum recovery self-care.



*Note: This class provides an overview of labor, delivery and postpartum. It does not include any content or practice time in the areas of natural childbirth techniques, baby care or breastfeeding.

Do you wish to prepare for a "natural" (unmedicated) childbirth experience ? Instead of registering for this series, consider registering for the NATURAL MOMS class **COMING SOON - Early Spring**. As a bonus, the class will also include the Birthing Center Orientation which is a mandatory requirement for any patient who is low-risk and wishes to use that special area of our Women's Care unit.

If a cancellation is requested for a virtual class, it must be done within 24 hours of the time you registered and you will not receive a full refund. The class packet is immediately mailed out to your home address and the book contains a unique access code that cannot be returned or transferred to another participant.  

A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
