Michael Bousamra, II, MD

Michael Bousamra, II, MD is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr Bousamra specializes in the care of patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and in the full spectrum of malignant and benign non-cardiac diseases of the chest.

Dr Bousamra has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. He emphasizes compassionate and comprehensive care for his patients. He is also dedicated to ongoing clinical research in both lung and esophageal surgery, metabolomic studies of lung cancer and breath analysis for early detection of lung cancer.

He has practices located at both Ascension St John Hospital Detroit and Ascension Macomb Oakland Hospitals.

Outside of the office, Dr Bousamra enjoys spending time with his wife, his children and grandchildren, and participating in a wide variety of sports and physical activities.
