Gary R. Katz, DO

Dr. Gary Katz, Medical Director of Ascension Michigan Weight Loss, has over 20 years experience in weight loss surgery and foregut surgery. He specializes in the laparoscopic Roux-en-y gastric bypass; the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, bariatric revisional surgery; hiatal hernia repair surgery; and anti-reflux, LinxⓇ, surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed both his internship and his residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan. He is certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Oakland County Medical Society, and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
