Robert G. Dr. Dekker has a subspeciality in foot and ankle. He commonly treats foot and ankle fractures, bunions, tendon and ligament injuries, flat feet, achilles rupture and hammer toes. He commonly performs total ankle replacements, minimally invasive bunion surgery, achilles tendon repairs and fracture care.

Dr. Dekker uses a patient centered approach. Most patients can be effectively managed with braces, orthotics, and physical therapy. However, when surgery is required, Dr. Dekker believes advanced surgical care, rehabilitation and recovery lead to the best patient outcomes.

Dr. Dekker has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on minimally invasive achilles tendon repair surgery, safety after ankle fracture surgery and ankle arthritis. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
