Phyllis G., a pastor based in Panama City, FL, had a hysterectomy a year ago hoping to improve the symptoms she was experiencing, but instead, they got worse. For three months Phyllis had received pelvic floor therapy from Pam Mayo, PT, and is already seeing improvements in her condition. Mayo works with her patients to create individualized plans to address their pelvic health needs. Pelvic floor therapy sessions include exercises, manual therapy, and biofeedback to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.
“I was so glad to have found an option for my care close to home, but Pam has gone above and beyond anything that I could have expected,” she said. “Pam goes over everything step-by-step so that I know what is happening, why it was happening and how to resolve it.At every appointment, she helps me understand what’s working and what isn’t working for my body.”
Phyllis said she’s now making it part of her ministry and mission to tell other women experiencing issues to try pelvic floor therapy at Sacred Heart Bay Women’s Diagnostic Center.
