"Last month the enrollment in our non-surgical program was the highest we have seen in three years," says weight management educator Leann Moore.
The bariatric, or surgical weight management, program also is seeing continued demand and is on track to surpass the number of surgeries done pre-pandemic.
"Some of our patients were off work, giving them the time to address their health needs," says Moore. "Others saw their weight moving in the wrong direction during this period and decided it was time to do something about it."
The bariatric and non-surgical weight management programs both offer virtual orientations. The non-surgical program also continues to offer in-person orientation and education sessions as well.
The HMR program that Ascension Via Christi Weight Management uses as part of its non-surgical program was once again named by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 fast weight loss program in the United States for 2021.
