If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms of a stroke, every second counts. It's important to get to the right place, at the right time. The Ascension St. Joseph Primary Stroke Center is one of Milwaukee’s advanced stroke centers, and connected to specialists at our Comprehensive Stroke Center. Our care teams are here 24/7 - delivering advanced stroke care for even the most complex cases around the clock.  

We’re here for you every day. Together, our first responders, ER care team and our hospital’s medical-surgical intensive care teams provide advanced care.

Reasons to seek emergency care at Ascension

Ascension ER care teams offer treatment for signs or symptoms of a major health emergencies, including:

  • Symptoms of stroke, such as facial and arm weakness, speech difficulties or sudden loss of balance
