Professional golfer Bubba Watson shows what makes a visit to Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart so special.
While Ascension understands that for families, being in the hospital is no laughing matter, this lighthearted campaign focuses on what makes a visit to Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart so special.
This video is part of Ascension’s new “Helping Out” marketing and branding campaign, a series of commercials focused on the highly specialized pediatric care provided at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. The series stars professional golfer Bubba Watson, a 12-time PGA Tour champion and two-time winner of the Masters Tournament.
The Watson family and Studer Family Children’s Hospital
Bubba Watson is a lifelong resident of Pensacola. In fact, he was even born at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola. He and his wife, Angie, have made generous donations toward the construction of the new four-story Studer Family Children’s Hospital, which opened for patient care in May 2019.
The facility was designed from the ground up with a child’s needs in mind and with a promise to provide compassionate, personalized care for all families, especially those living in poverty and those most vulnerable. The Children’s Hospital includes a pediatric emergency department, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with all private rooms, medical and surgical areas, a pediatric imaging department complete with an under-the-sea themed CT scanner, pharmacy, inpatient rehab gym, child life playrooms, outpatient services and a new family-friendly cafe. More than 120 pediatric doctors serve on the Children’s Hospital’s medical staff, caring for kids across 30 pediatric specialties. This new facility enables sick and injured children from across the Gulf Coast region to receive specialized care from Northwest Florida's only children's hospital.
To recognize the ongoing support of the Watson family, the entrance road to the new Children’s Hospital was officially named Bubba Watson Drive.
