About Us

Ascension St. Mary's Hospital Spine Center in Saginaw, MI, delivers therapies to improve your quality of life after an injury, stroke or surgery.

Understanding how to recover from your injury or after surgery helps improve your overall health. Our rehabilitation care team is here to help. We offer outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy appointments, with flexible hours around your work or school schedule. In Michigan, a doctor’s referral is required for insurance reimbursement, but direct access with self pay is available if you are seeking physical therapy (PT) or occupational therapy (OT) for injury prevention or fitness. A physical therapy or occupational therapy evaluation is done before therapy appointments begin.

Physical therapy

Your doctor may prescribe physical therapy as part of your treatment plan. Ascension St. Mary’s physical therapists listen to understand you and your health concerns. We work with you to create a rehabilitation care plan that’s right for you. Physical therapy helps promote healing, relieve aches and pains, and restore your strength, mobility and balance using personalized non-surgical therapies.

Occupational Therapy

Your doctor may prescribe therapy for elbow, wrist, or hand pain due to injury, surgery,  arthritis, or inflammatory processes. Our Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) evaluate and treat you by  creating a treatment plan specialized to your needs. They may create custom splints, or provide a prefabricated splint to help support your elbow, wrist, or hands. The goal is to restore or improve your functional activities of daily living using non-surgical techniques.
