Bariatric surgery
Our bariatric surgeons and weight management care teams know how difficult it can be to lose weight. At Ascension St. Vincent’s, we take the time to get to know you. We listen to understand your health concerns. Then, we create a personalized weight loss plan that’s right for you. From diet and exercise to surgery and recovery, we’re here with you every step of the way.
Cardiovascular surgery
Cardiovascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists at Ascension St. Vincent’s deliver surgical treatments to help open clogged arteries, restore blood flow to the heart, repair leaky heart valves and more. Whenever possible, your doctor uses minimally invasive, catheter-based surgery. As the regional leader in heart care, heart surgeons at Ascension St. Vincent’s perform the most cardiac surgeries and procedures in the region – from minimally invasive procedures to open-heart surgeries.
Colon and rectal surgery
When you choose Ascension St. Vincent’s, your specialists will diagnose and treat cancers of the colon and gastrointestinal tract, including hepatobiliary cancers affecting the liver, gallbladder and bile ducts.
General surgery
For some surgical procedures, our experienced surgeons use da Vinci® XI Surgical System. The versatile and flexible features of this surgical system promote operating room efficiency during general surgeries. This advanced technology is used for many procedures, including colectomy, hernia and rectal resection.
Gynecologic surgery
When you need gynecologic surgery, such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, sacrocolpopexy or surgery to remove cancer, you want the best care. Our highly trained and experienced surgeons specialize in the use of the da Vinci XI for gynecologic procedures. In most cases, with 3D visualization and robotic arms, we can perform surgery with greater precision than traditional surgery.
Minimally invasive lung biopsy
Our pulmonary surgeons perform minimally invasive lung nodule biopsies using robotic-assisted bronchoscopy. This robotic-assisted technology, called IonTM, helps your surgeon collect small tissue samples and helps improve the early detection of lung cancer. This technology also helps surgeons access hard-to-reach nodules in the lung. The technology can also be used to create a 3D guide for your surgeon to modify, edit, and then follow during your surgery.
Orthopedic surgery
Whether you need hip or knee replacement or back surgery, our highly experienced surgeons are ready to deliver the care you need. When you choose us, you have access to the latest technology, including robotic surgery, as we deliver personalized care to get you back to doing the things you love. Our dedicated team of orthopedic surgeons and specialists will prepare you for your procedure, care for you while you're in the hospital and help you recover and regain joint function.
Spine surgery
Experienced neurosurgeons at Ascension St. Vincent’s diagnose and treat many types of neck and back injuries and conditions. When spine surgery is recommended as part of your care plan, our care teams use the latest spine surgery techniques. Whenever possible, minimally invasive procedures are recommended, which use smaller incisions and may lead to less pain and a shorter recovery.
Thoracic surgery
When you have a heart condition, surgery may be recommended as part of your care plan.
Urologic surgery
To perform prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer surgery, our highly skilled surgeons use robotic-assisted surgery. With advanced technology and innovative features, surgeries assisted by the da Vinci XI have increased precision. Other benefits may include a shorter recovery than traditional surgery.
