Ascension St. Vincent affiliated urologists support the St. Vincent ONE CALL system with consults statewide 24/7/365 days a year. When a patient enters any of the Ascension St. Vincent ER locations throughout Indiana and has a urologic problem from kidney stones to pelvic/renal pain, two urologists are always on call via ONE CALL to consult and expedite urgent care. This group also has Urology Clinic offices on the Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis campus (Naab Rd.) and in Carmel, Fishers, Lebanon, Crawfordsville, and Greenfield, IN. These urologists lead an active St. Vincent Urologic Oncology Multidisciplinary Cancer Committee which benefits patients with complex and challenging cancer cases (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, as well as, metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer- mCRPC). This group also has a progressive bone health management strategy that supports patients who experience bone weakness following various types of cancer treatments.
A urologic diagnostic work-up often includes urine test, blood tests (such as PSA), digital rectal exam (DRE), imaging and ultrasound tests, and cystoscopy. Genetic (blood) testing may also help manage surveillance and identification of patients who are at a higher risk for developing a urologic cancer.
