When should I talk to a heart doctor?
Getting the right heart care at the right time is critical for your health. Chest pain, shortness of breath, fluttering in your chest, swelling in your legs, dizziness and fatigue are all symptoms of heart disease. When you notice new symptoms, talk to a heart doctor. What are symptoms of a heart attack?
A heart attack doesn’t always start with severe chest pain. If you think you or a loved one may be having a heart attack, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away. Pay attention to these heart attack symptoms:

  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Lightheadedness, nausea or vomiting
  • Jaw, neck or back pain
  • Discomfort or pain in arm or shoulder
  • Shortness of breath
