Understanding your heart and lung health after surgery is important to help prevent a heart attack and manage your symptoms. Care teams at Ascension Seton Cardiac Rehabilitation Services are committed to providing the right care for your health. We also have additional locations in Burnet, Harker Heights and Kyle, Texas.

Cardiac rehabilitation to help improve heart health

Our care teams listen to understand you and your health concerns. Then, we work with you to create a heart and lung rehabilitation plan that promotes a safe and faster recovery. Our structured and educational approach is delivered by doctors, registered nurses and certified exercise physiologists who specialize in strengthening your heart and lungs. We monitor your heart during exercise and provide nutrition and lifestyle recommendations to help lower your cholesterol, blood pressure and improve your overall health. We also help you cope with stress by providing support to you and your family.

Program features and benefits

A doctor's referral is required to participate in the program. Medicare Part B and other private health insurance plans provide a covered benefit for participating in cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Attending three, one-hour cardiac rehabilitation sessions a week for 18 weeks (or 36 sessions, whichever comes first) is recommended for optimum recovery and support.
