At Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Cancer Center, we deliver compassionate care for blood disorders and blood cancer. Jonathan Abbas, MD, is the medical director of our acute leukemia program. Dr. Abbas works along side specialists in stem cell transplant, chemotherapy and blood pathology to deliver advanced care for those with leukemia. Together, we’re committed to delivering compassionate care and support. We help you manage treatment side effects such as fatigue, nutrition counseling, physical therapy and other cancer support programs. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Ascension Saint Thomas provides a multi-specialty cancer care team of experienced cancer care doctors in medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology. We offer cancer support services to help improve your recovery after cancer treatment. Our oncology-certified nurses and patient navigators are here to help with questions and to connect you with cancer support services. Our cancer care team provides cancer nutrition and rehabilitation therapy, genetic testing and counseling, and palliative care. We’re sensitive to the impact cancer may have on your physical and emotional health. Our social workers and chaplains are here to help you manage other issues like finding transportation to appointments, coping with behavioral and mental health changes and managing financial concerns.
