What to Expect
For most tests, you will be required to provide a specimen to be analyzed in our laboratory. The specimen you provide could be blood, semen, saliva, urine, a sample or stool, or hair. Regardless of the specimen type, rest assured we will make the collection process quick, comfortable, and safe while protecting your privacy and dignity.
How to Prepare
Depending on your test, you may have to take special preparations to ensure the test’s accuracy. You may have to fast for several hours or avoid certain medications or supplements prior to your test. Your physician should provide any of these instructions that may be necessary before your test; it is recommended you follow them exactly as they are written. If you have any questions, check with your doctor.
When Will I Get My Results?
"Your results will be reported to the physician who ordered the test. In some cases, you can request the results after they’ve been sent to the ordering physician. Contact your physician office to verify ability to review your results via an electronic portal. A Consolidated Laboratory Services patient access portal is currently in development.
Your results could be ready in as little as a few hours or as much as several days, depending on the test. If you’d like an idea of how long it will take, ask your physician for details.
