After you have heart surgery, a stent, or an episode of congestive heart failure, cardiac rehabilitation* care teams at Ascension St. Vincent's One Nineteen is here to help you recover. Our goal is to accelerate your recovery, help keep your heart and lungs healthy, and get you back to your daily activities. Our cardiac rehabilitation care team works with you and your doctor on a rehabilitation and recovery care plan that’s personalized for you. Our care team explains how cardiac rehab could help you after:

Are you worried about what you can do after heart surgery?

You may need to make some lifestyle changes after heart surgery. Your care team helps you cope with stress and provides support throughout your recovery. Together, we work with you to create a care plan that helps promote a safe and faster recovery. As you exercise, we monitor your heart. We’ll also discuss your medications, your nutrition, and how to make positive changes to your daily activities.
