Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham was founded in 1898 by the Daughters of Charity as a ministry dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care designed to sustain and improve the health of the community as well as its citizens. The all-private room facility is a 409-bed, acute care hospital offering a spectrum of care ranging from a state-of-the-art robotics surgery program to the first Heart Valve Clinic in the state.
