Detroit: Birthing Express (In-Person, 2023)

Our classes are taught by our own Labor and Delivery Nurses. Help make your birth experience the best possible with comfort and relaxation techniques, birth and intervention information, bonding and breastfeeding. This childbirth class gives the opportunity to interact with other couples, and reinforce the information. You will receive complete information about your hospital stay, and all that Ascension St. John has to offer.

We are excited to announce we will be gifting each registrant an "Understanding Birth" book and exclusive web app that works on any type of mobile device or computer. The book and app are a perfect companion to our program! The Injoy app includes engaging videos, 3D animations, helpful web links, downloadable PDFs, and a Parent's Toolbox loaded with interactive tools. It is yours to keep and share with your support team!

Classes will be held at St. John Hospital (22101 Moross Road, Detroit, MI 48236) in the basement, classroom D&E. Lunch is not provided, but our cafeteria and coffee shop will be available to you. A tour of the unit will be included with this class. Please do not register for the tour if you are signed up to attend our class.

Please note: Registration fee includes mom and partner. Please DO NOT REGISTER PARTNER SEPARATELY, AS YOUR CARD WILL BE CHARGED TWICE.

• Please Note: We recommend parking at the back/North side of the hospital and enter through the Main Entrance. Classroom D&E can be found in the basement by Center Lobby near Same Day Surgery. Our instructor will meet you in this waiting area and take you to the classroom once everyone has arrived. Please approach the information desk if you have any questions.

Refunds:

A refund will only be given if you deliver prior to the start of the class or are placed on bedrest with an order from your doctor. If a class needs to be canceled you will receive a full refund and can expect to see this payment back to your card in 7-10 business days from when it is placed.
