CERT Department North Presents: PCT Training with HIPAA / OSHA & Armed Intruder / Active Shooter Training

CERT Ambulatory Patient Care Tech (PCT) Training is required before any Ascension Medical Group St. John Associate hired into this position performs any tasks that require competency approval such as

Training includes but is not limited to a review of basic back office skills and responsibilities such as vital signs on automated machine, various Clinic Logs maintenance, Vision Screening, introduction to CLIA, Autoclave training and more. It also includes HIPAA / OSHA training, therefore, there is no need to enroll in a separate HIPAA / OSHA class.

The curriculum of this one day course is geared toward Patient Care Techs with the agreement these associates will work toward achieving Medical Assistant certification. It is required of all new Ascension Medical Group St. John ambulatory PCTs participating in direct patient care.

Contact the CERT Department for all cancellations and/or rescheduling needs. Classroom space is limited so please let us know ahead of time if an associate is unable to attend a class so that space can be opened up to another associate. Associates may be screened and must be in good health to take any face to face course. Any associate found in questionable health may be asked to reschedule into later class.

If your class required payment, a refund will be given if a cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program. A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
