Newborns and Beyond: Newborn Care & Development (for Birthing Families)
First time parents will learn the basics of newborn care and the importance of infant growth and development from a certified Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Instructor.
This class will provide an overview of newborn care and infant development with an opportunity for follow-up with the instructor beyond the classroom. A certificate of completion will be offered after attendance for a total of 2.5 hours of continuing education, if requested.
Topics include:
- Basic newborn care & safety
- Infant feeding
- Infant comfort
- Family bonding
- Infant growth and development
- New parenting questions or concerns
This class is available for any family in the Milwaukee area and is taught at our Milwaukee campus (2323 North Lake Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53211).
