Breastfeeding: Getting Started with Confidence (In-Person for Metro Area)

This class is designed to build your confidence and skills for breastfeeding your newborn.

Topics include:

  • How to prepare for breastfeeding
  • Positioning your newborn
  • Proper Latch
  • How to feel confident your newborn is getting enough breast milk
  • How your family can support your decision to breastfeed
  • Using a breast pump and breastmilk storage

* We recommend that you attend this class during the seventh or eighth month of your pregnancy, so you can best retain what you learn. Classes are offered at: Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee campus; Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee campus; Ascension SE Wisconsin St. Joseph Hospital campus; and Elmbrook Memorial Hospital campus. Please pay close attention to your class location.
