Breastfeeding: Getting Started with Confidence (In-Person for Metro Area)
Topics include:
- How to prepare for breastfeeding
- Positioning your newborn
- Proper Latch
- How to feel confident your newborn is getting enough breast milk
- How your family can support your decision to breastfeed
- Using a breast pump and breastmilk storage
* We recommend that you attend this class during the seventh or eighth month of your pregnancy, so you can best retain what you learn. Classes are offered at: Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee campus; Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee campus; Ascension SE Wisconsin St. Joseph Hospital campus; Elmbrook Memorial Hospital campus; and St. Francis Hospital campus. Please pay close attention to class location in individual sessions.
