Art Therapy for Caregivers
Ascension Providence Rochester and Paint a Miracle present a virtual program "Art Therapy for Caregivers"
A medical diagnosis is stressful for the individual receiving the diagnosis but can also be stressful for their caregivers. The stress and worry of caring for others can be a lot of pressure and may lead to burnout. Self-care is important for caregivers to recharge so they can be there for their loved ones.
Art therapy is a great outlet for self-expression, allowing participants the time and space to explore and process their thoughts and feelings. The process of creating artwork can decrease stress, provide emotional support and promote connectedness.
Please join Erin Shahly, Art Therapist, for our virtual Art Therapy sessions. Each session will focus on a different mindfulness-based theme to support caregivers and their families. Register for one or both!
