Tai Chi for Health practice 2 - TCA 32 CP

A Community Health and Wellness Program offered by Lourdes

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese art embracing the mind, body, and spirit and is one of the most effective exercises for the health of mind and body. Tai chi can be pleasing to do, easy to learn and maybe practiced almost anywhere. It is used by people of all ages to relieve pain, stress, and anxiety, and to promote inner peace. The upright posture aligns the spine; the deep diaphragmatic breathing nourishes and relaxes muscles and brings about feelings of positivity and well-being, and the slow movements take most of your joints and muscles gently through their complete range of motion. With regular practice, tai chi can increase flexibility, build strength, improve balance and coordination, enhance the immune system, and enhance concentration and memory.

Each specific class is 8 weeks long that meets twice a week for a total of 16 classes.

Each class session leads to the next covering the sequence of 12 warm-ups, specific core movements, and 3 cool down forms.
