Diabetes Prevention Project - Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Center

Join us for a weekly meeting - group-based, structured lifestyle change program for people who are at risk or have pre-diabetes. We meet weekly for 16 weeks, then monthly for support. You will learn lifestyle changes to reduce your risk for type 2 diabetes. Participants must have risk factors or a diagnosis of prediabetes to meet the class requirements.

This class is led by St John Providence Registered Nurses.

If you have already been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, you will not qualify to attend and can be referred to a PATH Diabetes or Conversation in Diabetes program.

Pre-diabetes can be diagnosed by your physician, or you can take the self-screening test by going to the following link:

https//doihaveprediabetes.org/prediabetes-risk-test.html

Participants should be diagnosed with Pre-diabetes. This course is not for those with diabetes (although if attending with someone with Pre-diabetes, that is acceptable).

Course runs weekly for 16 weeks then followed with monthly meetings for support.
