Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Breastfeeding and Baby Basics

Breastfeeding and Baby Basics is a single session class providing important information on breastfeeding and newborn care. This class combines the content of Comprehensive Breastfeeding and Just about the Baby in one session. Instructor: Meghan Lockwood BSN, RN, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)

***Thank you for your interest in this class! This class is being put on hold for the time being and no additional dates/spaces will be added. We will be adding Virtual and In-Person options for the Comprehensive Breastfeeding Class and the Just About Baby Class. Those classes will cover all of the information formerly provided in the Breastfeeding and Baby Basics Class. We appreciate your patience as we transition classes to add In-Person options.

This is a virtual class for those seeking information about breastfeeding and basic newborn baby care. Information on positioning, correct latch, milk production, and coping strategies that will help you to breastfeed successfully will be included. Newborn baby basics (bathing, diapering and soothing) will be covered through demonstration and practice. Support person is encouraged to attend this class and the fee covers both the patient and her support person. If you have any questions, please contact us at 615-284-2229. If a cancellation is requested, it must be within 24 hours of sign up for a virtual class due to our nominal fee. Books mailed to you contain a unique access code that cannot be returned or transferred to another participant. A full refund will be given for any class cancelled by the site.
