Breastfeeding 101 Class

Breastfeeding is one of the best gifts a mother and baby can give each other.

Breastfeeding provides significant health benefits for mom, as well as the vitamins, nutrients and disease-fighting substances your baby needs for each stage of development. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes breastfeeding as the best method of feeding and nurturing infants. While breastfeeding is natural, it is also a learned skill for a new mother and baby. This class, taught by one of Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital's International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, teaches techniques for breastfeeding success and addresses common concerns to make your experience as smooth as possible. Partners are encouraged to attend.
