Giving in Manhattan

Manhattan Community Health Foundation

The mission of the Manhattan Community Health Foundation is simple: to raise funds in support of Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan and its programs. Since January 1, 1997, Manhattan Community Health Foundation has devoted resources to bring the best healthcare services and professionals to the Flint Hills.

We support healthcare at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan by giving to four major efforts:

  • Expansions and renovations of Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan
  • State of the art equipment and technology to support our patients and medical specialties
  • Training and education for staff members and medical professionals
  • Assist with the recruitment of physicians and specialists to the region

By providing area residents with a variety of ways to give to local healthcare — including annual giving, corporate partnerships, memorials, planned giving tools, special events and capital campaigns — together we have been able to generate the resources needed to create outstanding results in our community.

Please explore our accomplishments to date, our goals for the future and ways you can contribute.

Guardian Angel Program

If you or a loved one received exceptional care from a Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan physician, nurse, therapist or other employee, say "thank you" with a gift in the caregiver's honor to the Guardian Angel Program.

Along with your generous gift, tell us about the special care you or your loved one received. We'll share your kind words with your "angel" and recognize him or her with a letter of acknowledgment and this custom-crafted Guardian Angel lapel pin. It's a wonderful way to recognize those who serve others "in the way of Christ."

Note to our donors

Maintaining the security of our foundation and donor information is of the utmost importance to the Manhattan Community Health Foundation. We recently received notice from Blackbaud – a third party that provides many non-profit organizations, including many health care and higher-education institutions, across the world with fundraising and engagement software – that the company experienced a ransomware attack in May 2020 that involved the perpetrators accessing certain foundation information.

Blackbaud has assured Manhattan Community Health Foundation that the perpetrators did not access sensitive information, such as bank or full credit card information, or social security numbers, and that Blackbaud believes the perpetrators have destroyed the information they copied.
