Annette E. Kyzer, MD

Dr. Annette Kyzer completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University in 1999, where she served as a Chief Resident in her last year. Dr. Kyzer joined Women Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999. An East Tennessee native, she is first-generation American from Danish parents who moved to Greeneville, Tennessee in the late 1950's and became American citizens. She enjoyed traveling to Denmark during the summers with her family. She attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Economics, Political Science, and French Literature. She then attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the American Medical Women's Association's Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation. She became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001. Dr. Kyzer enjoys all types of music (which frequently embarrasses her daughters), watching action movies, spending time with her family and 3 dogs, traveling, and encountering new cultures. She has completed the Physician Leadership College of the Tennessee Medical Association. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Tennessee Medical Association, American Medical Women's Association, and Tennessee Women in Medicine. She is a part of Women OB/Gyn which is a group of all women physicians, midwives and nurse practitioners who enjoy taking care of women through all of the reproductive stages of their lives.
