Jay Patel, MD, RPVI, is an interventional cardiologist with Ascension Saint Thomas Heart in Waverly and Nashville, Tennessee specializing in heart catheterization and minimally invasive heart care. He performs procedures to restore blood flow to the heart. starts by Dr. Patel starts by listening to understand you and your health concerns. He works with our multidisciplinary cardiologists to create a care plan that's right for you. Our cardiovascular specialists are part of an integrated, national network of heart care, sharing best practices and offering evaluation and treatment of the most complex heart conditions.

Dr. Patel is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine and provides acute care, care for chronic conditions and preventative care to adult patients of all ages.

Dr. Patel has a special interest in interventional cardiology with endovascular cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Outside of the office, Dr. Patel enjoys ultimate frisbee, frisbee golf, watching college football and basketball.
