Dr. Whitmyer is a general practitioner and expert partner to manage your health. He is a native Michigander and finished his medical training with Wayne State University and residency at Bon Secours (Beaumont Grosse Pointe).
He has spent his 20 + year medical career in Metro Detroit and is proud to be a part of Ascension Center for Wellness since 2006.
Dr. Whitmyer specializes in general medical care and manages most chronic medical diseases.  He is an advocate for your health and will create a thorough review of your preventative care and screening.  As patients branch out to various specialists, he will maintain communications with you to help coordinate your care and answer any questions.
COVID has created a path to unique ways of patient care, and Dr. Whitmyer has a successful virtual practice to continue medical management while allowing minimal interruption to your day.  Virtual visits can be a quick and straight forward way to refill medications, review blood pressure goals, diabetes management, and depression/anxiety follow-ups, all without a trip to the office.
