Professional Statement
While care for one's mental health is absolutely essential for quality of life, there continue to be numerous financial and social barriers to accessing such care. I pursued psychiatric medicine because I want to be a part of overcoming these barriers by providing quality psychiatric care for individuals who would otherwise lack access to these services due to low income and/or the social stigma regarding mental illness.
