Lauren M. Curtis, MD

Dr. Curtis is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist specializing in treating cancer and blood disorders. She completed her fellowships in hematology and oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, and then served as a Staff Clinician there, where her research focused on management of graft-versus-host disease after bone marrow transplant. Before joining the Saint Agnes Cancer Institute, Dr. Curtis was Clinical Associate and Assistant Professor of Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC. She has co-authored publications in leading journals and presented her work at international conferences. Her experience includes serving as principal investigator or associate principal investigator on several clinical trials. Dr. Curtis received her M.D. from the Université de Montréal and her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She has professional fluency in French. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine in the Harvard-affiliated residency program of Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In her spare time, Dr. Curtis enjoys playing tennis and piano.
