Ascension St. Vincent is opening a new stroke center in Jacksonville, Florida, This new stroke center—set to open in December, 2021—will be located in Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital. The 4,900+ square foot stroke center is being designed with your care in mind. The center overlooks the St. Johns River and every patient room has state-of-the-art technology. And we have different sized rooms to help accommodate your individual needs.

Our multispecialty team of stroke specialists includes stroke neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuro-intensivists and rehabilitation specialists. We work together to deliver compassionate, personalized care that's right for you.

At Ascension St. Vincent's,our neurosurgeons have advanced training in minimally invasive techniques to treat ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. And, we use advanced interventional neuroradiology techniques to treat ischemic strokes, ruptured brain aneurysms, carotid occlusive disease, Moya Moya, and arteriovenous malformation of the brain and spine. This highly specialized stroke care helps support better outcomes at a time when you need it most.

If you or a loved one is experiencing warning signs of a stroke such as numbness, confusion, trouble speaking, dizziness or loss of balance, every second counts. It's important to call 911 or to go to the nearest emergency room right away.

Follow-up care after stroke

We understand how a stroke affects your life. As part of your stroke care plan, we connect you with specialists for stroke rehabilitation. We start by listening to you and your concerns. Then, we provide personalized follow-up care, and preventive care to help prevent future strokes.
