Our hospitals, we have among the lowest cesarean section rates in Wisconsin. This recognition reflects our high-standards of care and quality. The BirthPlace staff focuses on bringing all the best resources to the bedside of every mother and baby.
St. Elizabeth Hospital and our Level III NICU is a high-risk pregnancy center of care. Our obstetricians and neonatologists are at the bedside during delivery to stabilize a sick newborn. We care for infants with many types of conditions from birth asphyxia (blue baby) to RSP and other serious fetal conditions requiring pediatric surgical interventions.
Mercy Hospital has a Level II NICU for babies born pre-term. Our doctors and nurses are experienced in treating babies with complications due to premature birth.
