Spine Care Requires Planning and Precision
At Sacred Heart our spine surgeons use precision and expertise to restore back, neck and spine function after an injury or due to a spinal condition.
Spine Care for the Emerald Coast
At the Spine Center, our team of board certified-orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, rehabilitation doctor, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and patient navigator create individualized treatment plans for your neck or back pain or spinal conditions.
Surgical Guidance System Improves Outcomes
As the first spine surgeons in the area to use the Mazor Robotics Renaissance surgical guidance system, the Spine Center at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast has innovative surgical expertise and capabilities. Our surgical and pain management team als treats those with burning, radiating nerve pain that goes into the arms, hands and legs.
We utilize a CT-based, 3-D simulation of the spine to create a unique surgical blueprint before the patient enters the operating room.
Even with complex spinal surgery, the Mazor Robot enhances the benefits of our minimally invasive techniques, resulting in fewer complications, less post-operative pain, and faster recovery. Dr. Kornelis Poelstra, medical director of the Spine Center, provides high-quality surgical care with more than 400 robotic-assisted surgeries to his credit. Our surgical guidance system aids in the repair of bone fractures due to osteoporosis, trauma, and spine deformities, as well as the removal tumors embedded in the spine.
