Heart Healing Exercises and Care

Our nationally recognized outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs available in three locations.

Northeast Wisconsin Cardiac Rehab

Your heart is a muscle that when damaged needs special exercises personalized for your long-term health needs. Our highly experienced nurses, exercise physiologists and respiratory therapists create individual care plans soon after a heart attack, cardiac surgery or other heart health event.

In Northeast Wisconsin, all three outpatient rehab centers are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Education, exercise and emotional support are the key components of our program. We provide supportive care at every stage of your cardiac rehabilitation.

Three Stages of Cardiac Rehab

1. Inpatient stage – Soon after surgery, gentle exercises are introduced. You’ll have a lot of questions and we take the time you need to explain how your heart can heal and get stronger.

2. Outpatient program -- Within a week of returning home from the hospital, our program provides weekly guided exercises and educational sessions about reducing and managing risk factors for heart disease. Our goal is to prevent future heart attacks and improve quality of life.

3. Health and fitness program – With ongoing support from our staff, heart patients can continue to use the exercise facilities.

Ask your heart doctor how cardiac rehab can improve your overall heart health.
