Ascension at Maria Drive A Department of Ascension St. Michael's Hospital has counselors and social workers experienced in helping you find a balance when conditions like anxiety and depression complicate your health and well-being.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need help, go to the emergency room. For non-emergent concerns, call our outpatient offices, Monday-Friday:
- Ascension at Maria Drive 715-341-7441
- Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital 715-346-5000
Counseling, also called talk therapy, has been found to be as effective for some people as medicine for mild to moderate depression. When done by a trained professional, this treatment is a powerful way to understand your thoughts and feelings better.
Like medicine, it may take time before you notice how much counseling is helping. Our team is experienced in outpatient counseling and therapy to assist you and your family with:
- Anxiety and depression
- Behavioral concerns
- Eating disorders
- Grief and loss
- Substance abuse
- Trauma
We collaborate with other Ascension facilities in the Stevens Point area to give you access to inpatient and residential services that you or your loved ones may need. We also work closely with community partners and schools to create a network of care.
We are part of the Ascension Wisconsin network of care, which includes:
- Ascension Behavioral Health Residential Treatment Center
- Ascension’s Veterans Choice programs for veterans experiencing difficulty accessing the VA for care
