Visitor Information

Ascension welcomes family and friends of our patients. We’ve provided the information below to help make your visit convenient and comfortable.

Visiting and Emergency Hours

Those considered family by the patient are generally welcome to visit any time. Number of visitors and duration may vary based on patient needs.
We encourage friends to visit between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Emergency Hours are 24/7

General visitor guidelines

Flambeau Hospital reserves the right to restrict visiting if it is determined counterproductive to patient care.
When visitors are allowed, we may ask them to leave during tests or treatments.
Check with the nurse's station when bringing gifts of food or drink.
Do not bring products containing latex.

Waiting areas

Public waiting areas are located throughout Flambeau Hospital.
Visit the nurse's station or ask a member of the care team which location is best for the patient you are visiting.


Parking is available near the main entrance of the hospital along with parking in the area near the Physical Therapy Department. Emergency entrance parking area is to be used only in the event of an emergency. Handicapped parking is available in all areas. It is recommended that if you will be using overnight parking that you notify the admitting desk or the nurse's desk that your vehicle will be left in the lot.

Flambeau Hospital is a smoke free environment; this includes e-cigarettes and cigarettes inside or outside the building and in personal vehicles parked on campus. No cellular phones are to be used in the building.


The cafeteria is open daily and located on the lower level.

  • Breakfast: 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Vending machines are available in the front lobby, cafeteria and near the nurse's station.


There is a small chapel in the Intensive Care area across from the Medical/Surgery nurses desk. Upon request, a member of clergy can be called in at any time for spiritual assistance.
