About Us

Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Behavioral Services offers geropsychiatric health services to persons 55+ who require intensive or crisis care.

Treatment Program

Our experienced staff provides professional and compassionate care from an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers, psychologists, and licensed clinical social workers. Initial psychiatric, nursing, and psychosocial assessments are offered, with additional psychological, nutritional, and activity assessments tailored to meet each patient’s needs.

The goal of treatment is to help you or a loved one regain and maintain an optimal level of function and quality of life, while also educating patients and families about the illness to better understand its symptoms and cope more effectively. Treatments include group counseling, recreational and activity therapies, individual psychotherapy and family therapy.

Diagnosis and treatment are available for a wide range of issues, including:

Family Involvement is Vital

Family involvement is important for a successful recovery. With the patient’s permission, we seek family participation in the treatment and discharge planning processes. The discharge plan includes referral to other appropriate community resources.
