Addiction Treatment Conference Presenters

Conference Keynote Speakers

Conference Objectives

  • Identify the physiological nature of addiction
  • Able to list some signs that abuse and/or dependency have developed
  • List appropriate evidence-based treatment options and incorporate these treatments and/or appropriate referral for services into practice
  • Identify alternative pain management strategies and integrate in their practice

Conference Attendance

Physicians, Social Workers, Counselors, Therapists, Registered Nurses, Probation Officers, EAPs, Addictionologists, Students and other Clinicians interested in addiction treatment

Submission Guidelines

  • Include resume/curriculum vitae for each presenter. (maximum of 3 presenters)
  • Submit all material by July 1, 2018 via email to bcr-events@stjohn.org.

Criteria for evaluating the proposals will include:

  1. The learning objectives are clear
  2. The proposal addresses issues of concern to the target audience
  3. The proposal reflects educational tracks in this call for presentations
  4. Be willing to participate in Panel Discussions

The conference budget will support modest honorariums for plenary speakers; however we do not provide honorariums for workshop presenters. Presenters will receive a complimentary conference registration for the day of their presentation. Due to the high cost of travel, Brighton Center for Recovery is not able to reimburse workshop presenters for mileage. If presenters are not able to participate due to lack of reimbursement, special arrangements may be made with Ascension Brighton Center for Recovery when you are notified of your accepted proposal.
