Patient Privacy

Your private health information is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as other Federal and State regulations and their interpretive guidelines.

When you are admitted to Providence Hospital, you will receive a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices which outlines how your private health information can be used, who will have access to it and your rights and responsibilities concerning your protected health information. Providence Hospital is allowed to include certain limited information about you in our patient directory that may be released to anyone who asks for you by name. If you do not wish to be included in the facility directory, please notify us at the time of admission.
