The Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization Course is a new offering that seeks to better meet the educational needs of AHA program participants. While BLS is essential for all healthcare providers, not every provider who encounters children needs the full Pediatric Advanced Support Course. Specifically, many providers must recognize a child with a potentially life-threatening condition and enlist the help of more advanced providers. This course focuses on pediatric assessment and recognition skills with lesser emphasis on management. The course teaches the following:
- Systematic pediatric assessment
- Recognition and stabilization of respiratory emergencies
- Recognition and stabilization of shock emergencies
- Recognition and stabilization of cardiopulmonary arrest
- Resuscitation team concept
If it is necessary for you to cancel your registration for this course, your registration fee will be refunded less a $50 book/administration fee, provided you notify us five days prior to your scheduled class. Failure to cancel five days prior to the scheduled class will forfeit the registration fee.
