Breastfeeding Class

This two-hour class teaches techniques for breastfeeding success and addresses common concerns to make your experience as smooth as possible.

Cost

Breastfeeding is one of the best gifts a mother and baby can give to each other, providing vitamins, nutrients and disease-fighting substances your baby needs. The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes breastfeeding as the best method of feeding and nurturing infants. This two-hour class, taught by one of Sacred Heart Hospital’s lactation consultants, teaches techniques for breastfeeding success and addresses common concerns to make your experience as smooth as possible. Partners are welcome and encouraged to attend.
 
 Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Cost is $20 per couple. Only one registration is needed per couple.

This class meets in the Women’s Education Classroom at Sacred Heart Hospital, 5151 N. Ninth Ave. in Pensacola. When you arrive for this class, please park in the Ninth Avenue parking garage. Enter through the Main Hospital Entrance (which faces Ninth Avenue). Head straight down the main hallway, passing the Wendy’s, Subway, Administration, our sea-life mural and the public restrooms and water fountains. Walk through two sets of double doors. The Women’s Education Classroom will be straight ahead at the end of this hallway. Snacks and drinks are welcome. The hospital café and onsite Wendy’s, Subway and Starbucks are available.
