Bleeding Control Basic Course

This free course is designed to train the general public on what to do in a bleeding emergency and methods to stop an active bleed.

Studies have shown that the help given by an immediate responder can often make the difference between life and death, even before professional rescuers arrive. The Bleeding Control Basic Course gives participants the necessary tools to become an empowered initial responder.

This free course is designed to train the general public on what to do in a bleeding emergency and covers the ABCs of bleeding as a method to stop an active bleed. The course includes a class presentation and hands-on skills demonstration on tourniquet  application, wound packing, and pressure application. At the conclusion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion and will have the opportunity to purchase a personal tourniquet.
