S T A B L E Learner Program

S.T.A.B.L.E. Learner Program

All classes and events from Ascension St. Vincent have been cancelled, and will be rescheduled at a later date. We apologize that we can not provide this class/event at the current time, but the health and safety of our providers, associates, patients and communities is our top priority.

The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is the widely accepted neonatal post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization educational and clinical tool. This one day course involves an eight-hour interactive didactic presentation by experts in neonatal intensive care. S.T.A.B.L.E. is considered by neonatal educators to be the follow-up, complementary program to the AAP/AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and is appropriate for all healthcare team members who may be exposed to caring for a sick or preterm newborn. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to identify the key components of stabilizing a sick newborn and successfully complete the post-assessment.

S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessment parameters covered in the program: Sugar and Safe care, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support for the family.

Course pre-work: Prior to the class, participants are required to complete a S.T.A.B.L.E. pre-assessment. Each participant is required to bring their completed pre-assessmnet and their copy of the Learner S.T.A.B.L.E. manual, 6th edition to class. Please indicate in your registration your need to purchase a book. Pre-assessments and purchased books will be sent out in advance of class.

Course registration closes one week in advance of the class date due to the pre-course requirements.
