Neurologist, Steven Hardy DO and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Annette Werner, will share their knowledge on this personal topic. If you are concerned about, or caring for a loved one with dementia, this presentation is for you. Learn how to better manage, understand and face dementia.
Steven Hardy DO, Neurologist, grew up in Metro Detroit and attended U of D High School and graduated in 1999. From there, he attended MSU with a B.S. in physiology in 2003. He then attended MSUCOM and graduated in 2012 followed by a residency in Neurology at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. His practice is in Rochester Hills with 4 other partners in general adult neurology.
If he's not on the golf course, he is learning to play the piano once again for leisure. Lastly, he loves to travel abroad and has done a few medical missions over the years. He look forward to doing more work abroad and helping out local undeserved areas as well.
As a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Alzheimer’s Support Group facilitator, she is passionate to help, educate and support families as they navigate the world of dementia.
Annette has made a difference by providing educational workshops for caregivers, senior centers and facilities. Comfort Keepers regularly hosts and Annette facilitates the “Savvy Seniors” program monthly, an educational program, at the Older Person’s Commission in Rochester.
She received her undergraduate degree at S.U.N.Y. at New Paltz, NY and her Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She obtained her Certified Dementia Practitioner in 2010, and has been a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association for approximately 16 years.
