Program Objectives

At the end of this activity attendees will:

  1. Identify the physiological nature of addiction
  2. Be able to list some signs that abuse and/or dependency have developed
  3. List appropriate evidence-based treatment options and incorporate these treatments and/or appropriate referral for services into practice
  4. Identify alternative pain, stress and emotion management strategies and integrate in their practice.

Statement of Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Accreditation Elements and Policies of the Michigan State Medical Society through the joint providership of Genesys Regional Medical center (GRMC) and Brighton Center for Recovery.  GRMC is accredited by the Michigan state Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
