This screening includes a fasting lipid panel (total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, and ratio), blood glucose, body mass index, blood pressure and counseling with a medical professional.
Your appointment is scheduled to last for 15 minutes. During this time, a small sample of blood will be taken from the tip of your finger for analysis of cholesterol levels and blood sugar. Your blood pressure will also be measured. A health educator will discuss your current health status and any health or wellness concerns you may have. You will leave the screening with your results and educational material pertaining to any health or wellness issues that were indentified or discussed.
This screening is for anyone 18 years old and older who is under-insured and has not had their cholesterol checked within the last 12 months. Appointments are limited to one time per year, unless there are extenuating circumstances you have discussed with your primary care provider.
The screening will be held in the Rehab Treatment Rooms (Sargento Hallway). Park in the Memorial Drive Visitors Lot. Enter through the Memorial Drive entrance. A volunteer will be waiting to greet you and check you in.
