This 4-week course will discuss pre-labor signs, stages of labor, pain management options, the role of the support person, postpartum care, and newborn care.

This 4-week course is our most comprehensive series of classes to prepare you for childbirth and parenting. In-depth discussions will include pre-labor signs, the stages of labor, pain management options (relaxation, birth ball, medications-including epidurals), labor positions, and the role of your support person. We'll also discuss life after birth, postpartum care and caring for your newborn during their first few weeks of life. A tour of the hospital is included.

Bring 2 pillows and a blanket. You are encouraged to bring a healthy, peanut free snack for you and your support person.

*The expectant mother should register for this class and note the support person attending class also on the registration page. Please register while in your fifth or sixth month of pregnancy to attend during the seventh or eighth month, so you can best retain what you learn.

This class will be held in the Auditorium at Elmbrook Memorial hospital. Follow the parking lot signs to the Auditorium parking area located in the back of the hospital.  Please arrive 10 minutes early for class. Class starts on time, so plan accordingly.

**If your class required payment, refunds will be given if class cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program.  Full refund given for any class cancelled by the site.
